Breastfeeding is a beautiful journey—and like any journey, it helps to have an experienced guide. Whether you’re expecting your first baby, second, or beyond, there’s always more to learn about breastfeeding. At Gravidities, our Basic Breastfeeding Class isn’t about judgment or impossible “perfect latch” standards. It’s about giving you practical knowledge, real techniques, and the confidence to feed your baby in a way that works for your family.
Our class is run by Dr. Nurzarina, a medical doctor and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and it’s designed specifically for pregnant and nursing mothers in a women-only, judgment-free space. Babies are always welcome too—if you’re nursing while learning, that’s perfect. This is your space to be real, ask questions, and get answers grounded in evidence and compassion.
In 4 hours, you’ll cover the essentials: breastfeeding basics, how to position your baby for a deep latch, common challenges and practical solutions, handling breast pumps and expressing milk, and debunking the myths that often cause unnecessary stress and guilt. But here’s what sets our class apart: it’s hands-on and interactive. You won’t just hear theory; you’ll practice techniques, get feedback, and leave with a toolkit of strategies you can actually use.
One participant shared a transformative experience: “This class really changed my perspective on breastfeeding. It made me realize that breastfeeding is so much more than just feeding, and truly no other milk can compare to a mother’s milk. I’m feeling much more motivated to breastfeed my baby.” Another mother (a first-time mum) reflected: “As a FTM I got a lot of insight of what to expect and to be done regarding breastfeeding after giving birth. Doctor also answered all my questions very directly.”
What stands out most is the intimate, supportive atmosphere. Because we keep numbers small, each mother gets individual attention. Whether you’re concerned about latch, worried about supply, or just want to feel more confident, Dr. Nurzarina takes time to address your specific situation. One mother who brought her baby to the class noted: “Small class so we got one-on-one attention. Doctor gave advice on massages to help my baby open his mouth wider to get a deep latch.”
You’ll also receive a free e-book, access to our private Gravidities Parenting Support Group, and light refreshments to keep you fuelled during the session. Many participants discover that they’re not alone in their concerns—hearing other mothers’ questions and experiences is incredibly validating and empowering.
Breastfeeding isn’t just a biological function; it’s an emotional and relational journey. Our class honours that complexity, providing you with knowledge, practical tools, and most importantly, the reassurance that you’re not alone and that asking for help is a sign of strength.
Ready to feel confident and supported in your breastfeeding journey? Join us for a class that meets you where you are—no judgment, no pressure, just real knowledge and genuine community.
